CMC - IGERT Committees

 All students affiliated with the CMC-IGERT work on one or more committees which are responsible for various student-driven aspects of the program.

The current standing committees include: 

Executive - responsible for coordinating the program agenda with the faculty director(s) this committee is made up of the current and former IGERT executives and chairs of the other committees

Entrepreneurial - mandated to integrate free enterprise opportunities into IGERT and in the process capitalize on the science and engineering resources within the CMC-IGERT and affiliated programs

Legacy - currently working to integrate the most successful and beneficial aspects of the IGERT program into various science and engineering curricula at LSU

Social - in charge of organizing group meetings and planning IGERT social events

Website - responsible for the development and maintenance of a CMC-IGERT student website

Former (defunct) committees include: 

Career - organized to collect and distribute information about job opportunities in the public, academic, and industrial arenas

Service - responsible for organizing and facilitating IGERT service projects proposed and executed by student members
